I finally received a response from the company, stated below.

Eliminating original boxes helps us keep costs down, which can be passed on to our customers in the form of more competitive pricing.
Original boxes can be bulky and take up significant space during shipping and storage. This can significantly increase transportation costs and make it difficult to efficiently manage inventory.

If you purchase this product you WILL NOT receive the original crown royal box which should be stated in the description under the picture. It is stated in the shipping details that the company will ship items how they see fit but who is to expect a crown royal box not to fit into a 15x11x6 package. I paid around $25 in shipping for a box that supposedly helps keep the cost down when the crown royal bottle took up 1/4 of the box it was shipped in. The excuse that the original box not being shipped to help with cost is, in my opinion, ultimately a scam. This was a gift for someone who collects original packaging as well as bottles. This review has nothing so to do with the integrity of the whiskey just disappointed in the service.

Unfortunately, when I received the whiskey, it was not in the crown box, nor was the crown box in the package delivered. There was not a plastic seal around the lid, which makes me weary of tampering. I have emailed the company multiple times with no response. The packaging protected the bottle, but was not meant for that shape bottle and most people don’t care if the package says fragile.
