Double Eagle Very Rare 20 Year Old Bourbon Whiskey
Eagle Rare fans normally know this Buffalo Trace brand for its day to day bourbon and also the higher end release that is part of the annual Antique Collection. Now however they’ve pulled a luxury bottling out of the bourbon hat, debuting a 20 year old Eagle Rare in a custom crystal decanter.
The new Double Eagle Very Rare Bourbon, according to those behind it, is matured twice as long as the standard Eagle Rare 10-year-old bourbon. It is all about the presentation with this one in addition to the age though, with the Double Eagle crystal decanter featuring “two beautifully sculptured crystal glass eagles, one inside the bottle, and one serving as the stopper.
“The presentation box consists of two sliding doors, imprinted with a design reminiscent of eagle feathers. Sliding open the doors triggers spotlights above and below the bottle, to reveal the beautiful hand blown crystal decanter.”
“We’ve been waiting for this whiskey to mature for years,” said Kris Comstock, senior marketing director for Eagle Rare, in a prepared statement. “We worked on the packaging for more than two years, and finally settled on what we think is a beautiful decanter inside an eye catching, yet tastefully decorated box. Something that anyone would be proud to display on their bar. And it tastes even better than it looks.”
